One Pan Supreme Pizza Penne Bake

  • ½ lb Italian sausage

  • ½  lb lean ground beef

  • ½ red onion, diced

  • 1 green bell pepper, diced

  • 8 oz canned mushrooms, sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce

  • 2½ cups beef broth

  • 12 oz penne pasta, uncooked

  • 1.5  tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (¼ inside and i/4 on top)

  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni slices

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan (¼ inside and i/4 on top)

  • 1 tsp garlic and onion powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. In a large oven-safe pot or deep skillet, brown sausage over medium heat. Drain excess grease if needed.

  3. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook 3–4 minutes until softened.

  4. Stir in marinara, broth, uncooked penne, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

  5. Bring to a gentle boil, reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is just tender.

  6. Remove from heat and stir in half of the mozzarella, parmesan, pepperoni, and mushrooms.

  7. Top with remaining cheeses, pepperoni, Parmesan, and any optional toppings.

  8. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden.

  9. Let rest 5-10 minutes before serving.
